TUBERS

Created the user portal for TUBER, tailored for a Japanese audience, to help clients choose the best YouTuber for paid advertising.

The Company

TUBERS is a Japanese platform designed to support micro influencer marketing. It helps businesses search for YouTubers suitable for paid collaborations, analyze channel performance, and compare creators in order to make strategic advertising decisions.

The Need

TUBERS is mainly used by professionals making decisions about influencer partnerships for their brands. Since the platform targets a wide range of companies and roles marketing teams, agencies, and business owners one of the core objectives was to make the product intuitive enough to function as a fully self service tool.

To support decision making, users needed a way to visualize data across multiple YouTube channels, compare them side by side, and query the database to find the best match for their advertising goals.

The Challenge

One of the biggest design challenges was reconciling my clean, minimalist design style with Japanese user expectations. Japanese interfaces often present a large amount of information and multiple options on a single screen. As a result, clients would sometimes perceive competing products as more robust simply because they displayed more features visually even if functionally, they were not.

To address this, I made key actions and available features more visible and prominent without overwhelming the user. This included:

Making important options more discoverable without cluttering the interface.

Using color coding and bold typography to highlight critical metrics.

Designing a system of graphs that included one large, detailed chart per screen, alongside small previews of other relevant data giving users a quick overview while maintaining performance and clarity.

We also faced performance challenges, as some user queries were complex and time consuming. The design needed to balance a high volume of data with responsive performance and an intuitive UI.

Responsibilities

  • Designed the main TUBERS marketing website to attract and convert clients.

  • Created the foundational style guide and UI system for the intranet.

  • Designed all intranet screens, focusing on usability, scalability, and visual clarity.

  • Worked closely with the engineering team, delivering all design assets and specifications for development.

Additional Collaborations

In addition to the public-facing site, I led the design of the internal creator management platform (intranet). This tool allows users to manage influencer data, analyze performance, and organize campaigns. I ensured developers had complete UI assets and clear documentation to support efficient implementation.
